Love is a burning thing

I hope you all were able to access our Gift Registry tab on our wedding website ok. I need to add some more individual  "personalized gifts" on there because we still need some things for the reception, such as electric candles. We need electric candles because real candles can be kind of a nuisance in the mountains, where it's too dry and windy... and it's Nevada bordering California... and you know how forest fires can go around those parts. Lol No jest, but I'd hate to be responsible for burning down Virginia City Nevada for the third time in the last century!

This brings me to the content of our Save the Dates, which by the way, were mailed successfully today by Eddie. Let's give him a round of applause! Truly, thanks babe, for taking this on and going postal in the local post office in order to mail our envelopes (which we learned are actually labeled as packages!) to our lovely friends and guests around the country.

We learned a new lesson indeed; which is that envelopes, over a certain thickness are considered "packages", which is the difference between the price of a postage stamp and two dollars and some odd sense (pun?)  This new fact brings a whole new meaning to those television commercials about donating to starving children for "the price of a postage stamp."

If you're still wondering how our "Save the Dates" and forest fires are related (they're not in real life, just in this blog entry), stay tuned folks because our friends and family on the guest list will soon find out!
