Here's an inspiring quote for your daily mindfulness meditation:
"Don't aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one's surrender to a person other than oneself. Happiness must happen, and the same holds for success. You have to let it happen by not caring about it. I want you to listen to what your conscience commands you to do and go on to carry it out to the best of your knowledge. Then you will live to see that in the long-run—in the long-run, I say!—success will follow you precisely because you had forgotten to think about it." -Viktor Frankl
BTW: I have been practicing the art of mindfulness thinking for over 10 years now. It never gets boring because the possibilities are endless. I highly recommend looking into it if you haven't already. It's all about living in the moment and enjoying the here and now of life. Our culture is fast paced and most of us are so focused on how we'll succeed in the future, that we forget to acknowledge the current possibilities and happiness that are right in front of us.
For beginners, there is an amazing app for both ios and android called Calm
It's free to try and you can pay a yearly fee that gives you hundreds of topics to choose from for each day. I like to gift my close friends and family members a yearly subscription for the holidays. This time of year is when we need it most.
