The Social Media Paradox

Women's Health, has recently been winning me over one article at a time. I swear they even read my mind! (When I received this month's issue, I found an article describing one of "my", lol, ideas I thought of to write about a weeks ago, yet the draft sits unfinished in my que.) I am so glad to see a "Health" magazine for women, include inspiration for mental and emotional health instead of just impossible airbrushed six-pack abs on the their covers and lose weight quick trends.

You might have saw this when looking at my link in my smiling depression post. (click on the link below to learn about #howIreallyfelt ) This spoke to my heart. No, it screamed to my heart! I want so badly to not obsess over obtaining a perfect and exhilarating existence via social media, yet I know it's impossible. Not to mention un-healthy. I want to show real life. Especially in this blog

Is documenting every single moment, thought, dessert, sunset, etc; equal staying in the present? Is it conducive to the mindfulness way of living?

Try refraining from pulling out your phone next time you're tempted to snap a photo and avoid the distraction over filters and hashtags.
keep the moment to yourself.

In fact, don't tell anyone about it.
Not a single soul.

#howIreallyfelt: I was standing in the parking lot of my therapist's office, dreading and procrastinating the inevitable weekly hour of wide open heart ache.
