I Can't Card-ly Wait!

Obviously the title of this post is tongue in cheek. If anything, this time of year we all need to SLOW DOWN.  However, Eddie and I have a trip coming up for the first week of December which is normally when all things homemade Christmas card, gift wrapping and mailing, and finishing touches happen in my life.  I decided I wanted to get everything done early this year, so that when we return from our trip, we can really sink in, lay back, and just enjoy the festive season, our decorations, and giving gifts to others, and of course, just enjoy each other! That's the most important part! Every year I try to put a them to my overall Christmas decor and/or cards. Yes I am one of those people who hand make their own cards each year. I know, I know. I am crazy. but I am also creative and unleashing my creativity is awesome for me and making cards for the holidays is a great way to enjoy my love of all things crafty. and glitter. ALL THE GLITTER! I won't give away what my card theme is for this year because I still need to mail them all out.

Does anyone else mail cards? Or do you find it too stressful on top of everything else?  With Eddie's help over the last couple years, I have been able to mail out my cards successfully despite how crushing my depression was.

Let's take a look at some of the Christmas cards I've made in the past!

for years I did a pin-up up girl/vintage playmate theme

You can't escape the confetti. The last 2 years it's been reindeer.  This year....you'll see! Be careful when you open your cards!

after we got married our Christmas card list seemed to double! So we started collaborating. I would choose an image, such as this vintage holiday front door scene, and Eddie would print them out and I add on the accents.  Sometimes we also try to include a picture or 2 of us from that year.

I told you I love glitter!

  1. You definitely are not crazy, just extremely thoughtful and very creative! It's really cool to see your array of cards from over the years.
