Hello! Today is Thursday April 30th and this is my last quarantine blog! I've made it to my 30 day blogging goal during this crazy time. Thanks for coming on this journey with me!
I started this blog'antine process as a way to pass the quarantine. When I heard that the stay home, stay safe order was going to keep me home for 30 days straight, I had to think of some way to reach the other side feeling accomplished. Honestly, I feel like focusing on something every day for one month is a great way to get to know your hobbies better or pick them back up. Making music is a hobby I miss very much and I decided for the month of May, I will play the guitar everyday for 31 days. In order to keep my fingers from falling off, and to keep from driving Eddie crazy, I'm going to take Saturdays and Sundays off. I think I'll allow myself to trade those weekend days off depending on if I get any shifts downtown once things open back up. Either way, it's time I start playing regularly again. Especially now that we don't share walls with our neighbors!
Going forward, I'll still continue my other good habits that I've established. Working out everyday (cardio and weights, not just walking), creative time most days (collage work at the dining room table and miniature making for my dollhouse- btw I just posted a ton of instagram stories giving a tour of my biggest house), and of course writing everyday. Not just writing my blogs but in my personal journal as well. I've also started to really enjoy making graphics for my blog posts and I will definitely continue my fun with photo editing. I always knew that having good images online was important but I could never think of the best way to provide images for blog posts. It's always a work in progress!
I already have some good blog post topics planned that I started before our quarantine. The one I'm most excited about is going to be about all of the different psych medications I've taken and what they did, or didn't do, for me. I think its high time that the Drug Store Cowgirl puts out a proper blog discussing perspiration drugs in detail!
How about you? Are you going to set aside time for yourself everyday to pursue what makes you happy? There's no time like the present!
