I wear a mask for work and while out in public. My shifts are super short- only 5 hours or so, it's not too bad. but wearing a mask has still left it's mark on me. I have an upcoming appointment with a dermatologist to discuss permanent damage around my mouth, nose and chin from the moisture of my breathing. I'm getting really bad re-occurring cyst like acne and that's no fun. I'll let you know what advice he gives me. If I found it useful.
First mask review: black lacey mask from etsy
These are super light-weight and really easy to breath through. Does that scientifically mean it's not as safe? Perhaps...but that's really the only wrong thing I can find with this one. I bought a 3 pack and a took approx 4-5 weeks to get here. I get by far the most compliments on these masks than any other.
I had the most fun trying to match my makeup to this mask. Using tons of primer and this kryolan pallet (that I keep getting year after year because it's so good! If you want top quality rich pigment, do not sleep on this classic stage/fx makeup brand that's been around for ever!) This mask is super comfy and washes well.
Tie-Dye mask I die for these colors together! (note the one I'm wearing in the photo is sold out but I linked to another tie-dye one that I like) I'm loving the purple and orange together. I'm kinda jamming on these colors together this summer. This mask is my one of my faves and looks fresh and unfaded after each wash.
I like the little flowers on this one and though I don't have many clothes that match, I wanted a mask to wear well with summer whites. This one is perfect for that and has a little red, white, & blue going on. I also want to point out that I at first thought this mask was too hard to breath through and almost gave up on it before I tried flipping it around and could breath much better. What's the difference? No idea, but I'm just glad it worked out!
I also totally got this mask and it's so fucking cute and soft! I haven't had any good photo ops yet in it but maybe next week while we are on a little vacation I'll get the chance to do it justice. So tell me, where are you getting your masks from and have you been able to style any of them creatively? Show me photos!
Like Tom Hanks says, "wearing a mask is the very least we can do." This pandemic illustrates the extent of ignorance in our country. It's unfortunate that there's any drama about masks.
