Welcome back to a more positive and light hearted Yule Blog my friends! Today I am inspired by the Queen of Campy Christmas fun, Mariah Carey, and her wonderful Christmas special on appletv+. When I tell you I screamed and cried every second of her special, I mean just that. How did we get so lucky to have a fun and festive show to distract us from our 2020 nightmare? Thank you Mariah! and thanks Mom and Dad for letting us use your appletv+! and let's not forget Miss Grande who took us from Christmas & Chill to whistle toning harmony heaven! If you haven't watched it yet and need some high drag, campy heaven, run to your nearest television for relief.
The day I watched her Christmas special, I was suffering from the stress of the 2020 pandemic holidays and commiserating in my homey cottage getaway in Northern Michigan. We had made a batch of no-bake chocolate peanut butter oatmeal cookies and were drinking hot drinks from our matching Santa mugs. After steaming my face and doing an oxygenating facial mask, I realized my dry skin troubles were not just happening on the outside. I got a bloody nose from how dry it is! Even thought I grew up in Michigan, after living in California for over a decade, I completely forgot how dry everything is when you are running a furnace 24/7. I've been stocking up on a humidifier for each room in our house! I've found some really good deals on amazon that I want to share with you guys. I bought a few of these and love how you can put your essential oils in here, just make sure your oils are pet safe! Here's a link for 70% off!)
I wrote recently about my new found love in pop music and having my on-again off-again relationship with it. I wanted to have more women's music in my life and started listening to a lot of Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey and Lady Gaga. I made special playlist on my amazon music unlimited app called Christmas & Chill, inspired by Ariana and her 2015 holiday album. Another holiday favorite on my playlist? Gwen Stefani! If you haven't listened to her holiday music or watched the music videos then you are in for a real treat!
Have you guys tried the amazon music app? For me personally it has worked out great as I can listen to anything I want regardless of purchasing the album. I had a horrible breakup with itunes after over a decade of friendship, as it just wasn't working out anymore. As a Christmas gift, I want you, my lovely readers, to enjoy 3 free months of unlimited amazon music on me and you can redeem this gift by clicking on this link! If audio books are more your thing, I got you boo! here's a link to 2 free books, compliments of your truly. I'm just trying to make dreams come true this holiday season! See you back here tomorrow!
