Since the status of my melancholy is still ever present, I've taken to watching cheesy holiday rom-coms on a nightly basis after I've light all of my favorite holiday candles, popped some popcorn and turn on my dollhouse lights. I've decided to share, what I consider, to be the best list of holiday rom-com hallmark-esque movies I've ever come upon. Vetted by yours truly. Ready to take a dive into wonderland?
Love Actually (an early aughts classic, though some of the humor is outdated)
Holidate (Emma Roberts!)
While You Were Sleeping (yaayy 90s chick flick with America's sweetheart, Sandra Bullock)
When Harry Met Sally (why have not watched this classic until this year?? Enemies to lovers)
Love Hard (this grew on me, so did the now politically corrected version of "baby it's cold outside")
The Family Stone (another early aughts classic. Also, you'll probably cry at the end)
Single All The Way (This one's for the gays and theys)
Falling For Christmas (Lindsay Lohan makes her comeback!)
Bridget Jones's Diary (very brit-ish and quite obviously before the body positive and #metoo movement, buuuuuut still a classic)
The Holiday (ooooh one of my tip top favoritessss!)
Four Christmases (Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon!)
Something From Tiffany's (Christmas in New York City!)
About A Boy (Hugh Grant in yet another holiday movie, and it's pretty cute)
A Christmas Prince (sooo very Hallmark and that's exactly what I need)
Ghost of Girlfriends Past (a take on the classic A Christmas Carol)
